OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE

DANDELION (YELLOW)

God’s awesome creation never ceases to amaze me!  Although I may walk some of the same paths daily, I always see something different each time–some things large, others small.  Sometimes it seems, though, that the little things in life are what usually capture my attention.  It just goes to show that beauty is within.  All we have to do is open our eyes to see it.

Please enjoy a few of my pictures I took during my walk today.  Have a great evening.  🙂

From my heart to yours,

Maxine

TREE BRANCHDoes anyone know what type of tree this is?  Is it a fir?

(I researched it but could not come up with a definite answer.)

  2. After the long winter we’ve had, it is so good to see green returning. Don’t you agree? By the way, your tree looks like a balsam. Soft needles, right? Just my guess.

    • Oh, yes, Anna, it is definitely nice to see the green again. You know, I think you’re right about the tree being a balsam. Thanks to you, I was finally able to find a picture that resembles it, and that’s what it says. The picture I saw looks just like the one in my photo. I love the soft look of the needles. Thank so much! 🙂

      • We used to get a balsam at Christmas…in the days before everything went artificial and high tech. The needles do dry out eventually. But they’re not quite as painful on bare feet as other fir varieties (LOL). And balsams smell so sweet. Thanks for bringing back a cherished memory. :0)

  3. Ah, yes, the good ol’ days–sometimes I miss them. Like you, I have many cherished memories of those times when I was a young girl. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a balsam, but they are so pretty to look at that I can just imagine the sweet smell you mentioned coming from them. Thank you so much for sharing your encouraging thoughts! 🙂
