After the break of dawn this morning, I spotted these little, buttery yellow, unexpected beauties across the road from my house (pictures are at the end of this post.)  Initially, I just saw them as some extraordinarily pretty weeds.  However, once I got in the house and looked at my pictures, it dawned on me that they look like butter cup flowers.  During my research, I learned that these little beauties are toxic when eaten fresh by cattle, horses, and other livestock.  They’re also known as blister plants because the acrid blossoms can irritate the skin.  Glad I didn’t try to pick any of them :).

However you view them, isn’t it just so amazing how we never run out of visions of unexpected beauty around us, both immense and small!  At any given moment, it’s right there in front of us, if we only take notice.

Have an awesome day!

From my heart to yours,

Maxine 🙂
