WHEN COMES THE BRIDE?

BRIDE & GROOM

God instilled in man and woman a natural attraction between the sexes. Therefore, the desire to be married is a natural human feeling. Understandably, some feel discouraged or left out if they are still among the single. This may be especially so if most of their friends are already married. In my short story, ONE OF A KIND, this is exactly how Paula feels.

For some, singleness can seem like a brick wall that separates them from true happiness. A common belief is that marriage is the mechanism that automatically opens the door to total, infinite exhilaration. Yes, marriage can and often does add more joy to our lives. However, just as it takes hard work, self-sacrifice, and effort to preserve and maintain the things that are precious to us, the same is required in order to keep the flames of marital happiness burning.

The desire to be married may not go away. Be patient. Marriage may come when you least expect it (Ecclesiastes 7:8), as Paula will learn in DESPERATE HEARTS, my soon-to-be-released sequel to ONE OF A KIND.

    • Hi, Angela! I’m still working on DESPERATE HEARTS, my sequel to ONE OF A KIND. I’m hoping to release it soon though, so in the meantime, you can start reading ONE OF A KIND. 🙂 I hope you enjoy it.

I’m looking forward to meeting you, too. I’m planning to be at KEIGHLEY’S on the 28th of this month for BREAST CANCER AWARENESS DAY. I hope to have copies of some of my paperback books there for sale and autograph. I greatly appreciate your support and encouragement.
